Paralegal - Trusts & Estates
Location: Del Mar, CA
Salary: $70,000-$100,000 DOE
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 9:00 AM start

About the Role
A well-established law firm in Del Mar is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our collaborative team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients, and is comfortable handling complex estate planning and trust administration matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and e-file court documents, including real property documents and probate filings.
- Support attorneys with all aspects of probate, estate planning, and trust administration.
- Draft estate planning documents, inventories, accountings, and correspondence.
- Manage key deadlines, maintain organized case files, and ensure compliance with court and statutory requirements.
- Assist with Federal Estate Tax Returns (Form 706) and other IRS filings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, CPA firms, financial advisors, and other third parties.
- Collaborate with a large, supportive team and assist with additional projects as needed.
Top Qualifications
- 5+ years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience in a law firm or CPA setting.
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate or signed attestation of paralegal qualifications.
- Strong experience with e-filing and filing real property and court documents.
- Solid background in probate, estate planning, and trust administration, with an ability to provide a clear breakdown of past case involvement.
- Experience working in or with CPA firms is highly valued; familiarity with Form 706 and other tax-related filings preferred.
- Demonstrated team-player mentality and willingness to collaborate within a large, dynamic team.
